FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO OFFSET TRAVEL
EXPENSES DURING MEDICAL TREATMENTS
In a heartwarming collaboration, Cocktails & Caregivers and Round Room Gives are thrilled to introduce the Keeping Caregivers Close grant program. This initiative extends vital financial support to caregivers accompanying their loved ones on journeys for essential medical treatments, trials, surgeries, or second opinions.
Navigating the complexities of medical treatments often involves multiple trips, considerable expenses, and emotional strain for patients and caregivers. Keeping Caregivers Close seeks to alleviate some of the financial burdens that can accumulate during these medical journeys. The program aims to cover expenses such as hotel stays, rental cars, flights, meals, and incidentals incurred while traveling for medical needs.
The Board reviews all applications before funds are distributed. A team member will contact you upon review of this form. Email ashley@cocktailsandcaregivers.org with questions.

By applying for this program, I understand:
1) Currently, this program is available for United States citizens residing in the contiguous United States. Some exceptions may apply for United States residents requiring international travel (with appropriate documentation of necessary medical treatment).
2) Cocktails & Caregivers may ask optional questions related to household income, age, race/ethnicity, and geographic location to help us better understand the caregivers we serve, identify gaps in support, improve our programs, and share overall impact data with donors, sponsors, and grant partners. This information is used for reporting and program development purposes only and is never used as the sole determining factor for grant approval. Every application is reviewed holistically with compassion and consideration for each family’s unique caregiving experience.
3) To reach as many people as possible and to spread our giving, at this time, the Keeping Caregivers Close program is only available as a one-time grant regardless of changes in diagnosis or extenuating circumstances.
If you have already received a KCC grant, please contact ashley@cocktailsandcaregivers.org, as we may be able to provide additional resources for you and your family during this time.
4) Grant awards are payable by check or direct deposit to the awardee and may be taxable under federal, state, and local tax laws. When the option permits, Cocktails & Caregivers will consider awarding grant funding directly to the travel institution or purchasing travel gift cards, which may have less tax implications based on the state where the grantee resides.
5) Submission of this application permits the Cocktails & Caregivers team to review my application and review applicable social media content. It may also include reviewing public documents as they work diligently to determine the need and award a limited number of grants to many applicants. At no time will your personal information be submitted for a formal background check or submitted to any third-party review organization.
